In His time...

Imagine this... A picture of a child, his father and a jigsaw puzzle. The child trying to fix the jigsaw puzzle on his own, trying and failing so many times and getting bitterly frustrated, trying because he so much wanted to do it on his own, wanted to be able to bask in pride knowing he had done it on his own, failing because he thought he could put the pieces together simply by matching the edges, failing because he refused to look at the picture held in his father's hand.

We pray a lot of times, asking, demanding, seeking, wanting, immediately, at our own time, at this very moment. A lot of times, we wait, a day, a week, a month, a year, for those that are patient many years. Most people give up, most people forget, most people in feeling dissapointed, just turn around and walk away. A lot of times we wonder, what it is we are doing wrong, we wonder if God has forgotten us, we wonder if He still loves us and if He does, why He hasn't answered our prayers.

It has been proven through the years, through history, in the scriptures and in real life, that what is the puzzle of life to us, has been painted in God's eyes in His own way before we even came to earth. God's time has always proved best, His picture of our life has always been the best that life has to offer.

Ecl 3:11 "He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end."

- Are you hoping, praying and believing God for anything at all? Think of Elizabeth and Zechariah. Old and well stricken in age (Luke 1:18), waiting their whole life for a child, a chosen child born just at the right time to be the fore-runner of his cousin our Saviour.

- Are you tired of where you are at the moment? Tired of your life, frustrated, wishing things could just change? Think of Jacob, he spent 20years in a foreign land and if you think they were happy read Gen 31:38-42. But then in the 20 years he spent working unhappily, God blessed him, and in that 20years, his brother Esau calmed down and forgave him as well.

- Think of Samuel, born just at the right time to a woman who had desperately been seeking a child for so long, the laughing stock of her family, she cried and prayed to God, and He heard her cry and opened up her womb. She blessed God with her first fruit, and that first fruit turned out to be a delivere of God's people, just at the right time. The greatest judge of Israel.

God sees the picture, most importantly He sees your picture. You are either the centre piece or there to complement it, you don't determine how the picture will turn up, He does, the picture was painted long before you were born. The important thing is "In His time".

Where are you at the moment, are you asking, seeking or knocking? Just hold on. The picture of your life is being painted, you are being prepared. Coming out before God's time will be an attempt to spoil the perfect picture, the plan God has for your life. You remember the prodigal son? Receiving what is already yours before you are ready for it wil not do you any good.
Are you tired? Think of Joseph and of David lets not even talk about Job. Hold on.

This is the day the Lord has made, in good times and in bad, I will rejoice and be glad in it.

In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God, and the word was God.

In the beginning God thought of you, He put you in the picture. You are being prepared for that future. Hold on.
